Japan to support 3D printer development

After we shared a related news from Taiwan yesterday, Kinpo Group ventures into 3D printing, NHK World reported that the Japanese government also plans to support domestic makers to develop cost-effective 3D printers and the industry ministry officials stated that they hope to catch up with the United States and Germany in public-private sector cooperation for 3D printing.


They plan to launch a 3D-printer project April 2014 and to allocate it about 45 million dollars in the budget plan for fiscal 2014.
