  1. Hi, there is a 30 day warranty and the software that will be used on the printer is cura and printrur which I downloaded to day, they both work very well. I have read into the specs and have emailed portabee about it. I have preordered one and will be recommending others to preorder one too.

(just a quick note, I don’t work for portabee or in anyway involved with their company.)

  3. I have just taken delivery of this printer, amazing build quality for such a small and portable device, minutes to setup ready to print. Checkout some vids I have made :

I have also taken delivery of this printer and have been using it for over a month now…. It is great! You need to update your information thought… The layer thickness (50 microns) and the warranty info…. Again.. Check their website

  5. I own this printer since about one and a half years now. During this time I could use it for about five months, then it broke and romscraj’s “customer service” haven’t managed to get it running again since. They have the absolut worst service I’ve ever experienced. Trying to get an answer from them by email is a several-month endeavor. They only sent me a replacement part after I told them I’d tell Singapore customer protection agency about them. I built in the replacement hotend but couldn’t get the printer to work again. Probably it’s only a tiny fix, but they don’t respond to emails and after having written them already more than fifty mails without proper response it’s a rather tedious and almost impossible mission to get them to reply.
After preordering and waiting for six months, I now have this expensive paperweight sitting here.
And to the OP who cited documentation as a pro: The documentation is awful. I only could get the printer to work after a lot of hassle. It seems like they guard any info about it like a treasure.
Would recommend this to anyone. If they open-sourced it, it’d be a great little printer, but if you’re dependent on their help, which they won’t give, then you’re lost and you may as well throw the printer away as soon as you have the slightest trouble with it.

  6. I have TWO worthless Portabee Go machines sitting in my office. After also waiting 6 months for delivery i got a machine that would NEVER auto calibrate right and thus my prints never got past layer one. Support was in no way helpful. It took weeks to get back to me, and then it was typically “read the directions” or “we don’t know.”

After months of calling them in Singapore and badgering them for help, they sent me a second machine. This one was the “updated model” which overall had a much better build. Except for the Z axis. Which has a very noticeable wobble. So much so that when I did actually get it to go past the auto calibration setup my prints leaned at a 10 degree angle. It was obvious a manufacturing issue with some metal and a screw, but the wobble is so darned obvious I don’t see how this machine made it past quality testing.

When I sent them a video of how bad the wobble was I more or less got a response of “deal with it on your own.”

Don’t buy this machine. We’ve used at least 10 different brands of machines in our office and Portabee has been the worst.
